So much change...

Wow, it's been too long since we've posted! We are all going in different directions, but we (Tom, Colin, Chuck and I) were able to take a family trip last May. I can't believe it's been almost a year, sadly.

Last May the four of us took 3 weeks off our busy jobs to do some back-country touring down south, on a route called the KAT - Kentucky Adventure Tour. We had a blast! We took 3 vehicles, because one of the cars was just a little iffy to take 'mudding' and we didn't want to ruin it. That left us 2 Jeeps and a Toyota 4Runner.

We all met at the PA house in Jim Thorpe, spent a night cooking, packing and telling stories - and excited about making new ones! We left early on a Sunday morning and drove to a town called Carlisle, PA. On our trip we visited MD, VA, WV, TN and KY! I would say about half of the southern trip was off-road and we returned with many 'forever' memories. The trip itself was exciting and spending so much time together as a family was so wonderful - words cannot describe it.

Anyway, this year I'm hoping we're going to share a cabin in the KY wilderness for a few days. Tom and Chuck are planning a mid-west motorcycle tour in September. I'm excited about the photos they will bring back!

Because we do not have a store-front gallery right now, I'm posting just a little sample of our KAT adventure so you can peruse them. Some day (I hope soon) these will be available for purchase or if you see something you really want, drop us a note on the 'Contact Form' and we will print it for you (prints only, ask for pricing)!

God bless you and keep you. We wish you all, good & beautiful things~

Have you become real?

"Does it hurt?" asked the Rabbit. "Sometimes," said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful. "When you are Real you don't mind being hurt." "Does it happen all at once, like being wound up," he asked, "or bit by bit?" "It doesn't happen all at once," said the Skin Horse. "You become. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept.

Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand."

"I suppose you are real?" said the Rabbit. And then he wished he had not said it, for he thought the Skin Horse might be sensitive. But the Skin Horse only smiled.
