Catherine Savage: Catherine is a photographer who finds beauty in unexpected places, encouraging the viewer to slow down to look. The seeker with an open mind will find the positive and the good among the more obvious negatives, because we draw to us that which we expect to find. Catherine enjoys being able to present the beauty she finds to other seekers, hoping to inspire them that they may pause and enjoy something lovely as well. She overheard someone who was looking at her prints say, "I'm looking at something I would ordinarily be oblivious to and now I'm seeing something new for the first time." She hopes the viewer might find serenity, hope, peace and ‘all good things’ as they appreciate her prints. She prefers working in natural light, with moderate post-production editing. Catherine also enjoys painting with oils. She is a classically trained professional musician. She is an exercise physiologist who helped others to push their physical limits.
She loves hiking and exploring and passed this appreciation on to her two sons. She met Chuck at the moto-cross races where they shared a love of motorcycles, travel and music and most importantly – a family.

Chuck Savage: Street and portrait photographer; urban explorer
Chuck may be found anywhere from the coal mines in PA to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. His genre includes natural and artificial light portrait, street photography and extreme urban exploration. He is also an avid backpacker and bicyclist often spending several days on trips into wilderness. Charles spent his childhood living in the US and abroad, spending quite some time in Central America. He is an avid explorer with a taste for street photography. You may find him anywhere from a Brazilian Rodeo to an abandoned mill on the Connecticut coast on excursions with his photographer sons, Tom and Colin. Chuck played the guitar when he was younger. Chuck’s talent as a portrait photographer is evident in the raw mood of his characters. The nature of the person does not need embellishment with Chuck behind the lens. He will imbue his subject with a sense of openness and security, allowing them to reveal their nature and mood for him to capture. His own father, Dr. Charles Savage, was a published professor at Harvard and Tufts Universities, where he taught business to graduate level students in foreign countries. Chuck is an adventurer at heart, He is a former moto-crosser who raced at the Expert level in New England racing. He can still keep up with his sons: with Tom on long-distance hikes, and exploring abandoned buildings with Colin. He still owns a motorcycle.

Colin Savage: Urban exploration photographer,
Colin's genre includes natural light, extreme urban exploration, black & white and industrial, architectural photography. Colin is a widely traveled urban explorer who can scale heights that would make a mountain goat shiver. Most of his photographs archive the history of buildings and architecture that are rare or no longer exist. Because of this, most photos are one-of-a-kind and non-reproducible. He has an eye for lines and depth, architectural beauty and haunting images. Beginning with calligraphy and drawing, Colin took his love for artistic detail into urban exploration. His artistic ability also includes piano, dance, drums, horn and guitar and he had a band in high school. He is a self-employed paint and restoration contractor, specializing in period restoration and finish. Colin creates faux finishes on walls and on furniture. From marblizing, striping, stippling, antiquing - even faux brick - Colin's creations are in demand from furniture to trim restoration. He works with the finest products to create glass-like finishes on trim in period homes, for instance, at the Junior League of Boston Show House at the historic Prowse Farm in Canton. Tom Savage: Extreme hiking and backpacking photographer,
Tom's photography genre is natural light, extreme landscape and travel, from beaches to the mountains and desert. He is an avid hiker, back-packer and adventurer who brings us images of his travels across the US. His images range from friendly faces in an outdoor market to extreme images on cliffs, mountain tops or in the desert. His landscapes will create in you a wanderlust. He brings rugged views of extreme areas where few of us can travel. Tom ‘feels’ his way with sixth sense of his surroundings as well as his fellowship. His love of adrenalin sports and activities led him to become an EMT. His calming nature and sense of empathy makes him now a great nurse. He is depended upon for decisive action in an emergency whether on a mountain or on a city street. Tom’s view of human nature involves acceptance and humility. He is humble about his photography, feeling it as just his way of capturing and expressing the excitement of the travel. He hopes to stir your own sense of adventure. Tom lives the expression – ‘not all who wander are lost.’ Tom’s art began with charcoal drawing, then music where he played guitar and drums. He had a band with his brother in high school. An example of the depth of Tom’s empathy is this: with all his activities and love of movement, he decided to work as a nurse with spinal cord injured patients.
